Self-assessment
Went through the whole Blender Guru series, suprisingly.
Did not ever fathom that there was a full on coding half to 3d modeling. Literally, it's like visual basics with more math and patterns. Basically covered all there is to know in blender, but of course, I need to have repitition in order to remember all of it. But here's my official start into becoming a member of the blender clan.
I see many flaws and many I am proud of, here they are.
Sprinkles related:
- Almost all of them have submerged halfway in the icing. I've added solidifier so idk where that messed up but I'll try again.
- Sprinkles size very small. Should've stuck with either balls or sprinkles and not mix both.
- Overdone the weight paint.
- Yeah my biggest flas would be those sprinkles I honestly dont know what I did to make them sink in.
Icing related:
- I like it, looks like those icings that when you bite, it cracks.
Bun related:
- My best part of the doughnut, I like it most.
- Doing the texture was weird tho, I should improve that part.
Lighting related:
- Key lighting I approve.
- Rim lighting overdone.
- Fill lighting underdone, or moved it to the front a bit more.
Background related:
- I can't figure out how to rotate the other sprinkles. Half of them are rotating properly, and the other half is just still.
- Could've lit it up more
- I like the focus contrast tho.
Other:
- Overdid the glow effect on the rim.
- I'm doing somthing wrong in the geometry nodes for sure.
- Might've customized too much, should'ce stuck with the tutorial first and customize the next donut.
- Didn't expect to actually finish the whole thing so good job.
