Here's how to easily get into the instagram game flow!
(There's a video for you to watch hehe)
1.) Create your 'Professional' account
Keep your professional and perskonal instagram account separated. If you decide to use instagram and dedicate a subject for it, you must approach it with a different mindset compared to casual socializing.
2.) Keep posting in a similar format
Have a format whenever you post something to your page. This will soothen the overall look for the viewers, it can also make for easier navigation. For example : (art page) outcome < materials used < behind the scenes process. : (photography page) having a certain 'tint/tone' to your photos.
3.) Turn up your hashtag game
You HAVE TO add hashtags whenever you post, because that is how instagram works. Try thinking of hashtags that relate to your post, being as specific as possible will help. The more hashtags you are able to incorporate, the better, aim for around 20. DO NOT add any tags that are not related to your post.
4.) Dress up your account
Create your own style and improve on quality. One crucial step to this area is to be sure to use a good profile picture, something that will become the face of your whole project. Here you can add links to your website, and add some information in your bio. Be creative, be unique, be yourself.
5.) Consistency is key
Recent posts are most exposed on instagram, it is very highly encouraged to post on a consistent basis. Posting everyday may help you, but be sure that you have a schedule that you can comfortably keep up to. Every other day, 3 times a week, or even just weekly will help your engagements grow.
LET THE WORLD KNOW OF YOU
Be bold and hold yourself up, self promote. Ask your friends or family to share it for you. Reach out to other creators. If you have chosen to enter SOCIAL MEDIA, socialize. Instagram looks at engagements, comments, likes, saves, shares.
