The first tutorial I decided to follow was how to make a fluffy character. This taught me how to use hair particles, apply and use mirroring, and use HDRI background lighting.
Using a quadsphere instead of a sphere
- The faces were more quadrilateral.
> CTRL + A > Mesh > round cube > quadsphere
Mirroring
- make symmetrical sides (vertically and/or horizontally)
> Delete half of the mesh in Edit mode > Add modifier > Mirror > Choose X/Y/Z
- Checking 'clipping' will prevent the meshes from going past the other side
Proportional Editing
- Grab a single area and be able to adjust location and size of the whole mesh

> Click the top Circle thingy > scroll up and down for its size > Normal G,S,R
Edit a cube as a sphere
- Be able to make an object that looks like it was made from sphere, with a 6 sided cube, so only editing those faces instead of multiple
> Insert a cube > Subdivide surface > Shade smooth > Shape and Bevel
Duplicate object in a circular arrangement
- Same exact object duplicated exact increments each time within a radius from the first one.
> Object > Set origin to geometry > Add empty plane axis
> Add Array modifier to object > Choose Object offset > Select the object to be the plane axis > CTRL A + Apply all transformations > calculate the divisions on rotation of z axis > Increase duplicate amounts on the Array Modifier
Using a line
-Create a mesh using lines
> Add line > Add solidify modifier > Apply
uhmmm, Ill add more when i go back to the tutorial
